New management team takes aim at enhancing care and service at Alabama pharmacy

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (September 30, 2019) — With the population of the U.S. senior population headed toward a boom, long-term healthcare providers will need solutions that make their jobs easier. One Montgomery executive is ready to help.
Sarah Barker, Pharm.D., has been chosen as Turenne PharMedCo’s new vice president of pharmacy. A provider of pharmacy and medical supply services, PharMedCo serves long-term healthcare businesses across the nation. In addition to management of pharmacy operations in Montgomery and Birmingham and in Nashville, Tennessee, Barker plans to spearhead a number of initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency and enhancing customer service.
“With increasing regulations and complex medication regimens, a strong pharmacy partnership is more important than ever,” she said. “I want to ensure that Turenne PharMedCo remains on the forefront of pharmaceutical care while continuing to provide quality-driven, customer-focused and patient-centered pharmacy services.”
Barker has been with the company since 2007 and has served in various positions, including general manager of PharMedCo’s Montgomery pharmacy and lead consultant on the consulting pharmacist team.
“Turenne PharMedCo provides its pharmacists with the best resources, technology and support so we can deliver the best possible pharmacy services to our customers,” Barker said. “It’s been terrific to be a part of our progress over the years.”
