Personal Pharmacy Billing
At Turenne PharMedCo, we recognize the struggle you face to balance quality-of-care with the bottom line. We want to help, so we go the extra mile to provide you with at-a-glance tools to manage your pharmacy dollars.
Our billing specialists are trained in long term care billing requirements. We are linked to the official CMS database and also access on-line Medicaid and other third party sources. We want to make sure each prescription drug provider is billed appropriately.
Turenne will contact your facility daily to ensure accurate census and pharmacy billing charges, decreasing unwarranted charges at the end of the month.
Also, we routinely provide you with a monthly listing of Medicare Part A days, as well as a cost-per-day analysis so you can quickly see where your dollars are being spent. We will then personally review your charges each month before we release your bill.

Cognitive Services
We stay abreast of hot topics affecting geriatrics, including state and federal regulatory changes. When Alabama Medicaid's Preferred Drug List was updated, we created a revised Pharmacy Billing Department to combat the rising costs of non-formulary medications. Now, with Medicare Part D, Turenne PharMedCo has added a Cognitive Services Department that offers notification of non-formulary medications with clinical recommendations. This service saves money and nursing time through pharmacy formulary management.
Prospective Drug Regimen Review
A facility may submit a Prospective Drug Regimen Review request to our Cognitive Services department prior to a resident admission. By obtaining a medication cost analysis with clinical recommendations, the facility can choose to switch high-cost medications to lower-cost equivalents. This service allows the facility to make an informed decision prior to accepting responsibility for high cost-per-day residents. This is just one more way Turenne PharMedCo helps you watch your bottom line!
Customized Dispensing Service
We understand PPS, we have systems in place to help decrease the medication-cost portion of daily expenses. We can "custom dispense" medications for your Medicare Part A residents. Based upon the average Medicare Part A stay, Turenne PharMedCo offers standard defaults of 15, 21 or 30 day supplies. You may also custom order any number of days supply needed; upon admission, or when re-ordering. We encourage you to have us custom dispense - when you utilize this service, you will absolutely save money!
